Superonni Cashback

Cashback is the most transparent campaign format, because it is calculated after the fact from a realised result instead of a promised percentage. It is also the easiest to overrate: a rebate is not a win, it is a smaller loss. This page follows the calculation as the terms define it and puts the outcome in euros.

The base is a net loss

Cashback is computed from the net loss of a period — deposits minus winnings — rather than from the sum of losing rounds. Worked example, not an operator offer: across one week, 300 € deposited and 100 € won gives a net loss of 200 €; a ten percent rebate returns 20 €. Had winnings reached 280 € in the same week, the net loss would be 20 € and the rebate 2 €. The identical percentage produces wildly different sums, which is why a rebate cannot be valued in advance.

Cash or bonus: the line that matters

A rebate credited as cash is withdrawable as soon as the 20 € withdrawal floor is met. A rebate credited as bonus balance is a campaign like any other and carries a multiplier. Worked example: a 20 € rebate at a 5× multiplier means 100 € of stakes before it converts. The percentage on the banner is identical in both cases; the terms are not. This is the first line to look for.

Payout windows

Rebates are credited once a period closes, and the period is usually a week or a month. The terms state both the moment of payment and whether the period is a calendar window or a rolling one. The practical consequence is timing: if payment lands on a Monday, Sunday’s session still belongs to the closing period. That is the only part of cashback timing a player can anticipate at all.

What cashback is not

It is neither insurance nor yield. It trims a loss by a few percent, which in the worked example means 200 € of loss becomes 180 €. No rebate percentage converts a losing period into a winning one, and none of them is a reason to raise stakes. If a rebate feels significant at the end of a period, that is a statement about the size of the loss rather than the value of the campaign.

Tax and disputes

A rebate follows the same tax rule as any other balance: winnings paid by an operator inside the EEA are tax-free for a player in Finland, while winnings from outside the EEA count as taxable income, with current guidance to be checked on the Verohallinto website. If the calculation is contested, no Finnish authority hears it — Superonni runs on an international licence, a licensing system is only due to start in 2027 with supervision moving from Poliisihallitus to the new Lupa- ja valvontavirasto, and Kuluttajariitalautakunta and KKV do not take gambling cases. The practical safeguard is a private record of deposits and winnings for the period, which makes the operator’s figure checkable.

Where a rebate belongs in a budget

A rebate belongs in a budget after it has been paid, never before. Counting on it in advance tends to push the rhythm in the wrong direction — larger losses in expectation of a larger return — which inverts the arithmetic entirely. Deposit and loss limits live in the account settings and hold regardless of which campaigns are running. Veikkaus self-exclusion does not extend to international platforms, so the operator’s own tools plus Peluuri’s free support, including Peli poikki and Tukinet, are what is available.
